Baked Applesauce Oatmeal

Homemade Baked Applesauce Oatmeal is a simple and healthy breakfast. Loaded with cinnamon and sweet applesauce.

ingredients

  • 3 cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup blueberries (optional)

instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350-degrees F. In a large bowl combine the oatmeal, salt, baking powder, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

  2. In a separate bowl blend the eggs, applesauce, vanilla and milk. Then add to the oatmeal mixture and thoroughly stir. 

  3. Add the oatmeal mixture to a greased 9 x 13" pan and bake for 40 - 45 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes before serving. 

  4. Can be served with whipped cream, in milk or topped with maple syrup and fruit.
