Like a lot of moms, I’m on the tightrope of life, balancing work, home, family and trying make a little time for myself too.
When not spending time with my kiddos and my awesome dude, I find joy in experimenting in the kitchen, crafting, reading and digging around in my garden.
I’ve always been a little handy. I think I got that from my dad. If something is broken, you fix it. Not necessarily very well, but you attempt to fix it. So I’m willing to take on that home improvement project with gusto, but I also know my limitations and when to call a professional.
I studied photography and have carried a love of images with me throughout my life. However, I’m naturally curious and always willing to try something new – I can now play one song on the Ukulele. I realize as I grow older, how much I have to learn.
What is White Flower Lane?
It’s a place of comfort. A sigh of relief when you walk through the door. The food is savory or sweet and plentiful. Outside is welcoming and inside is cozy. It’s a place where kids laugh, yell and play and imaginations bloom free. There’s always a shoulder to cry on, someone to laugh with or who will just listen, and a hug or a cuddle at the end of the day.
It’s not perfect, there are messy closets, junk mail on the dining room table, a lawn that seems to be a little too high and a cat that sometimes vomits on the rug. It’s home.
Welcome.
