No Fail Rice Pilaf

With only 5 ingredients, this rice pilaf is ready in 20 minutes and comes out perfectly every time. A great side for chicken, fish or pork.

ingredients

  • 2 cups rice
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 14.5 oz cans of chicken broth
  • salt and pepper to taste

instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan melt the butter on medium high heat. 

  2. Add in rice and onion and saute for a few minutes until some grains of rice are toasted. This adds a little depth of flavor to the rice. 

  3. Add in the broth, a little salt and pepper and bring the rice and broth to a boil. Cover and simmer on low for 20 minutes until the liquid is absorbed. Stir and serve!
